Colour Green Meaning.

Today we will dive a little bit deeper into colour green. We selected green for the beginning of our colorful journey .. A couple words about how it is made.. green is a result of combining of yellow and blue, so it is a member of complex colours family. I am pretty certain that it is not difficult to guess that green is mostly associated with nature, and symbolizes growth, rebirth and fertility. It is the color of sprouting, and therefore undoubtedly connected with hope and life. It has to be stressed that there would not be a life our planet without green.. Everyone at some point has come across a word chlorophyll. It does enable oxygen production during photosynthesis, thanks to chlorophyll plants can grow, which make it directly responsible for whole food production. Vegetable greenness heralds eternal renewal, and is also a symbol of everlasting good. Green is a colour of spring. There are many sayings with that colour. One from Germany says: “The drier the times, the greener the hope is.” Green was already known in ancient Greece, Rome and Egypt. During Middle Ages this color was associated with evil, catastrophe and the devil.
The superstitious believes describing green as the one which attracts evil powers and bad luck… Such superstitions seem almost funny today, however you can still find this kind of belief.. for example in fairy tales and movies, where green may have a negative character. Let’s quickly recall the Witch of Oz.. is dressed in green. Now when mentioned I am certain you can list many other witches, and green will dominate there alongside with black. Also let’s quickly think about poisons, of course these were and still are green. Over the time, green gained very opposite meanings. It is now mostly associated with fate, luck. Everyone knows four-leaf clover. In Muslim culture, green is a sacred color, because it is the favorite color of Muhammad. You will find it on many Islamic flags, as well as on the floors in mosques. The Quran presents Paradise and the vision of salvation as: “He will wear a robe of green silk …”. In Christianity it is associated with Christmas, and in Ireland with the Catholic religion and happiness. In many eastern philosophies green is the colour of the fourth chakra (Anahata – its literal translation is “intact”) and represents the heart. From an emotional point of view, this chakra is responsible for well-being, love and compassion. Today, leaving old beliefs and associations behind, we link green with nature, ecology, and taking care of the natural environment. It is very popular colour of many interiors. It is the color of the walls in hospitals and schools is just green. Why is that? Because green is believed to have a calming effect and regenerate vitality. Green additives also have this effect, so a green candle or a candle with the addition of green can do miracles..
Green also promotes peace and harmony. A study was conducted in which the participants who stared at a green plant (in this case, a fern) for 30 seconds, and it was found (!!) that this very short experiment significantly reduced the stress levels in the subjects.
Surrounding yourself with green helps to think clearer, estimate situation correctly, so it helps our brain to make faster decisions. We also associate green with health and the power of growth, it is used by multiple companies in their campaigns and corporate colors-to subconsciously inspire customer trust. The easiest way to add green to your surroundings is through various accessories. Firstly: plants, and/or (you don’t need to water them ..) – candles. Green symbolize as well wealth and prosperity, that’s why it is worth surrounding yourself by this colour😊 Why would you wait?
